The funding programs we check for your project
The right program depends on whether you want to finance consulting, development or roll-out. The main building blocks:
BAFA: funding for consulting
BAFA funding subsidizes business consulting, for example on a digitalization strategy or the introduction of AI. Ideal when your project starts with an analysis and concept phase.
ZIM: funding for development
The Central Innovation Programme for SMEs (ZIM) funds research and development projects with technical risk – for example new AI applications or custom software with innovative character.
Regional programs
German states and municipalities add their own digitalization grants and consulting vouchers. We check which programs apply at your location.
Requirements
Most programs require SME status, a registered office in Germany and an application submitted before the project starts. We check the details for your specific project.
Common questions about fundability
Is my AI project fundable?
It depends on the content of the project, your company size and the timing of the application. Consulting services can often be funded via BAFA, development projects with technical risk via ZIM. Sailrs checks fundability free of charge in the first conversation.
Which funding programs exist for AI and digitalization?

When does the funding application have to be submitted?
Usually before the project starts. Companies that have already placed the order lose the claim under most programs. That is why we check fundability before implementation begins.
